The file hierarchy of your CG production

The question of how to store files in a CG production is a very tedious one. Each studio does it in its own way. On one hand it’s a bit sad because most of the productions look the same and could have the same hierarchy. On the other hand, every production has its constraints. In the following blog post I make a generalistic proposal for a movie file hierarchy.

In this topic, I think it would be great if we all share the file hierarchy we use. At the end we could extract some best practices and maybe find some kind of standard!
